Infantile

This week I read the story Monkey Puzzle to my P4 class, it is a story that they enjoy because they like talking about animals and seeing pictures of them and of course making the different animal noises! During story time this week we have been watching the story of Hansel and Gretel which most of the children are already familiar with which is good because it was easier for them to understand in English.

Primary
This week in Art we have been learning all about Salvador Dali. The children have been doing listening activities. In English we have been continuing our different projects.

In 6th the children have been talking about their families and family trees. This has been very interesting because I have been able to get to know the children better.

In 4th we are continuing our supermarket dialogue. The children have been brilliant at working together and I am very impressed with the maturity they have shown.

In 2nd they have been discussing what they do at school and the different activities they engage in!

In 3rd they have been using drama to improve their pronunciation and intonation skills.

And in 5th of Primary we have been working on the past, present and future tenses. They have been looking at past and present pictures of different cities around the world and comparing them.

In Theatre, we are continuing our plays which will be filmed this week coming. The children have all worked so hard at practising and learning their lines and I am very excited to be able to show you all the final product of their hard work.

Well done all of Primary!

At the weekend Jyoti, Sam and I all went to the Foguerons Sa Pobla Festival in Gracia. We all feel extremely lucky to be able to experience such a brilliant display of cultural traditions.

ESO/BAT

This week we have had a visitor from Oxford University Press talking to 1st ESO students about the history of rock 'n' roll music, from the early days of Bill Haley to modern day concerts by the Rolling Stones. The 2nd ESO students also had a presentation on British sports, from popular sports (boat race, London marathon, cricket) to some obscure sports such as snail racing, worm charming and cheese rolling! Even I did not know the British partook in some of these events.

I have also been taking some 3rd ESO classes where we have been doing exercises on 'used to' and the past tense and phrasal verbs.
