Infantil

This week in Infantile has been a bit crazy because of carnival! I showed the children a presentation about carnival which was about the costumes and the clothes that people wear during the festival. The children enjoyed the presentaion and got very excited when the different costumes were shown! We also participated in the parade on friday which was exciting because we don´t celebrate Carnival in England.

Primary

This week we have been learning all about Carnival using English Vocabulary. The children have taught me about their Carnival traditions and we even made our own Carnival costumes out of recycled material. In games we continued practising for our Pia Balmes got Talent. They've been introducing their groups and using English vocabulary to advertise their groups.

ESO/BAT

It has been a very eventful week in ESO and BAT with lots of different activites taking place. I have been covering for some classes every day because 4th ESO students have been taking exams and 3rd ESO students are away on a ski trip.

Monday saw me covering Marta's 2 BAT class where the students practiced conditionals.

Tuesday began with some activities with 3rd ESO in which we played naughts and crosses with a focus on vocabulary about the family and relationships that the students had been practising in class. Following this class, I organised my first debate of the week with 1st BAT advanced 2 group. The first debate was on whether or not plastic bags should be outlawed. One half of the class debated the other half. This was an enjoyable activity because it was not something the students had given much thought into previously and it made them think on the spot.

On Wednesday we began with 2nd ESO B where we did some activities such as 'find someone who...' and designing a trailer for a movie. The class had been learning about film and TV in class so I tried to find a relevant activity for them. Later on, I organised my second debate of the week with 1st BAT Advanced 2, this time the subject was on whether there should be a total ban on bull fighting.

On Thursday and Friday I helped with some 1st ESO natural science classes with half of the class in the lab and half with me playing games related to organelles and components of cells.

I contined with the natural science games on Friday along with watching the infantil and primary carnival parade.
