English & Primària Musical

We think that our students have a good opportunity to improve their speaking and learn new vocabulary from the lyrics of the songs and through all the activities that Erik works with them.

Our school has been making remarkable progress towards our project regarding the practice and improvement of the English language spoken amongst our teachers and students. Music is one of the many classes where we have been able to successfully implement English into the lessons.

Here, the children are learning a traditional English song called "Old McDonald Had a Farm". This song is about a farmer and all the different farm animals he has raised. When the different animals were named in the song, children would stop and pretend to be the different farm animals, recreating the sounds and movements that each animal makes.

This is only one of the many different ways that we have been able to integrate the English language into our classes with fun and interesting activities.
