The students had an easy week in English. Many of the English teachers were helping with the International Exchange students, so this week my classes mainly played Categories to help with their vocabulary. This game involves having the teams think of any word that fits into the category (for example: apple is a fruit), but if another team has come up with the same word, no team gets a point. Only those teams that have a unique word will get a point. The final round has the teams try to make the longest sentence using one of their unique words from each the previous rounds.

 

Primary

This week was all about getting to know the students. During each class period, I talked to each student and learned their favorite colors, activities, and classes. Most of the answers went something like this…¨I like blue, I love football and my favorite class is physical education!¨ I have also been reading to students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th during their breakfast times. This week we read, The Princess and the Wizard and The Smartest Giant in Town!
