My name is Erik Giannetti, and I am one of the new Languague Assistants for the 2021-2022 academic year. I am a native English speaker from California, USA and I have been playing soccer and baseball my whole life. I have also been a soccer coach and a soccer referee.

In this picture, you can see the beginning of a typical session with the students where I am explaining the rules and objectives of their activities and games in English. I encourage the students to work together while speaking English during their activities.

So far, all the students have been very welcoming and excited to be able to practice their English with me. I have noticed tha many students have been understanding me very easily, and for those who don't, they are very eager to learn. I have already noticed some improvement in the students English speaking ability, and I very excited to continue to help them rest of the year!
