Infantil

This week in Infantile we have been learning about a variety of different things. In P3 I read a story to the children about a Monkey looking for his mother- this enabled the children to practice their animal vocabulary. In P4 I also read a story about animals so the children could practice their farm animal vocabulary! In P5 we did various activities with the children and reviewed their clothes vocabulary. In 1st and 2nd Primary we played a game of pairs with animal flashcards. My week has been very animal orientated! This topic is very enjoyable as the children enjoy talking about animals.

Primary

This week in art we have been working on our winter related pictures. The children have been learning a technique called Crayon Resist Art. They have been engaging well within the subject and have been actively choosing to ask Questions to me in English without prompts. In classes from 2nd of Primary up to 6th of Primary we have been doing a range of topics to get the children back into the school routine. In 6th the children have been working on family trees and debates and in 4th we have started our food project. In 4th we have been working on supermarket dialogue looking at intonation, pronunciation and gestures, For example. In Theatre, Pol (the head of Theatre) and I have been working with the tutors on our two plays. Guess how much I love you in 2nd and The Hungry Caterpillar in 1st. We are continuing our character work, story development/understanding and expression. The children have been so enthusiastic and willing to learn and that is such a credit to all the tutors, the school and the parents.

ESO/BAT

This week in ESO/BAT we have continued with our conversations, with topics such as TV and film where the students have been learning vocabulary linked to this subject, such as 'script' and 'plot', money and the need for debit cards and how to avoid debt and sumo wrestling! Some of the 2nd BAT students have had exams this week so I will continue with them next week.
